same as he ever was
It started snowing a little after 9 this morning, and it's still falling steadily. My oldest son was thrilled to see it when he got home from preschool. After we took off coat, hat, gloves, boots, he immediately flew to the window to watch it come down while I made lunch. He's always been a watcher, has always loved looking out to see what's happening. I was thinking about this as I snapped his picture. I was thinking that it reminded me of when he was a baby, not yet a year old, and how much he loved to be propped up on our couch so he could see the street outside. There he is, there's my little baby boy down below. See how comfortable he looks? You can see that we'd pull up the blinds so he would have a better view of the street. He could stay there for a long time, maybe 15-20 minutes. An eternity for a little person who couldn't yet walk!
Oh, it's hard to look at the difference in these pictures, hard to accept the changes that have taken place over the last few, short years. But, he's still small, he's still just a little boy. For that I'm grateful.

Reminds me of my little boy. He's only 10 months, but he absolutely loves to be propped up on the sofa to look out the window. Isn't it funny how much joy they can get out of the little things? Wise beyond their years.
That's how I feel about my 2.5 year old. My last baby.... I can't believe how big he is...and yet he still seem s like a baby to me.
awww - so sweet! Time flies, seems like just yesterday that mine were that young and how I wish they still were!
THat is the sweetest picture! I love it.
What a precious little guy! I love looking out of windows myself, especially at snow!
It is so bitter-sweet to watch them grow.
It seems like yesterday that my oldest, who is 7, was still a baby. My how time goes so fast. Cherish each moment the good and the bad.
just too precious, meg. don't you just love little boys? i get upset about mine growing up, but the more i talk to people with older kids the more i see it never changes really anyway. they are always our babies :)

What a sweet post and precious pictures!!
What cute kids! I love pictures from behind! It snowed here too.
What a cute comparison. You should continue to take pictures of him looking out the window at he snow as he grows older. It seems like yesterday my boy was that age...now he's 20 years old!
