inside a snowglobe

We're getting a little bit of snow here today, though nothing like what was predicted. You can't see it in my picture, but there are little white bits floating all around outside. My older son is optimistic that soon we'll be running around again in our snow pants and boots, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen today.

Much as I like where I'm from and where I live now, on days like today (cloudy, cold, wimpy snow), I wonder, what would it be like to live somewhere sunny and warm? Like, Arizona? Or Florida? Or California? My kids would be so happy.

It looks pretty...but COLD! I'm freezing here in Arizona. It's unusually cold here and unusually warm in states where it should be cold...so strange.

I am truly enjoying the mild winter... Being able to take my dogs to the beach, in the middle of January, in NEW ENGLAND... Couldn't be happier :)

Funny you should mention Arizona - my husband said how nice that sounded after spending a half an hour scrapping the ice off the car this morning!
Thanks for your nice birthday wishes!

I think they love living right where they are ;) And I am sure that there will be plenty of snow to play in very soon!

I love snow. And so far, it has been a snowless winter for us here in St Louis. We have ice though. Want some ice?

And here in Arizona, we are sooo excited when it's cold and rainy!
I am totally living vicariously through you cold weather bloggers!
I'm not saying I could live day-to-day in the cold... but I do miss being snowed in.
I grew up in Wisconsin... so I remember...

We're freezing here in California. We've had record lows and now I hear that by next week we will have record high temps. The weather is so crazy this year!

I must say that the best part about living in California is the low humidity in the summer.
