worth its weight in gold

Best decision ever -buying a snow blower, that is. This was from last night. It took my husband about 20 minutes to do our driveway and the sidewalk. And our driveway is fairly long...

So...

Sunny today, still very cold...about 8 degrees out now...but the sun makes a difference. Psychologically. I guess, though, it's not such a great week here. The paper says "Chicago sinks deeper into misery" - as in, we lost the Superbowl, there's no end in sight to the frigid temps, now we have more snow. Remember the marquees I told you about as I drove through town last week? I saw one last night that simply said, Unbearable. Oh, dear. Next week we go someplace sunny and warm for vacation, so that's what we have to keep our chins up. And when we get back spring will be that much closer.

I sure wouldn't want to tell you that it was 81 degrees today... or that I had my front & back doors open all afternoon... or that I had to use the air conditioner in my car.
No, that would not be nice... so I won't.

Speaking of last week's marquees... on a city-photo-a-day Blog, I saw one of a downtown building, with night-time windows lit, spelling out "Bear down Bears," or something like that.

But we now know, it wasn't to be.

Stay warm.

When we moved back South we brought our snowblower with us...it has been 2 years and it hasn't been used! My DH keeps saying that when we do get that rare snow he is going to go outside of our yard and blow the snow back in so the kids will have some real snow to play in!!! I think he just hopes to get his photo in the paper with that mysterious contraption. The movers that unloaded us here didn't even know what it was. I, on the other hand, think we should try to sell it to some neighbors that are moving to NJ!

Please tell RH that he looks great with a snowblower! Anytime he wants to bring it on over and help PR Husband he is more than welcome ;)

Nothing beats a well trained hubby! We are freezing here in Indy too but like you we are headed someplace warmer next week. Barcelona is in the 60's so that will feel like summer to us!
