snoopy visits the LC

Meet Snoopy.

(You already know him, I know, but meet this Snoopy.)

Snoopy lives at kindergarten and visits a different boy or girl from class every day. Last week was our first Snoopy visit. When Snoopy comes to your house, you are supposed to entertain him for the day and write about what you did with him in Snoopy's accompanying journal.

We played, we ate, we read books with Snoopy. He helped us feed our beta fish, Dorothy.

And enjoyed a late afternoon session on the trampoline with the little chickens (chicken #1 is in the shorts, chicken #2 is wearing pants).

I think he had a good time. We'll have to be creative and think of something new to do the next time he visits. Maybe by then a pumpkin carving contest?
Have a great weekend, every body!

How sweet! My youngest brought home her class pet last year and was afraid to take it out of the bag. The poor thing spent the weekend hanging in a canvas tote in our mudroom!

I have seen this "project" before. My sister's sister-in-law sent up a little guy from Florida when her mother returned home. My sister brought it to my brother's at Easter last year and all the kids posed with it. Then my brother-in-law took it with him to Chicago on a business trip to spend time in the classrooms there. Does Snoopy travel too? I think is such a cool project to do with kids. They get such a kick out of it and looking at all of the pictures in his knapsack.

Love,
Julie

This was such a cute post Meg. When my daughter Kate (now 22) was in Grade 4 they had a classroom mascot dog named Footprint. Just like Snoopy, Footprint came hme with a different boy or girl from class. The following year, she brought home the classroom hamster :-} Such fun memories!

I know it's probably a good exercise for the kids, and I know it may just be me........but I hate it when they have a stuffed animal that gets passed around....all I can think of are all the germs from other kids......and their homes......them sleeping with it, the dog picking it up....etc.....
Arn't I a ray of sunshine? :)

Kim - no, it's completely understandable how you feel. The teacher sends home Snoopy with a note that reminds us to put him through the washing machine if it looks like he needs it. So she's trying to make it as clean for everyone as possible.

Fortunately when we got Snoopy this time he was fresh from the wash. Next time we'll be ready to send him through it if it looks like he needs it.

This is so cute! Oh the things I have to look forward too!! I will wait happily in teething and learning to wave bye bye- dont want a minute to go by ant faster- but I love reading posts about people having fun with their kids and seeing all of the grand times ahead in the magic years.

I hope the gig downtown is going well and you are still having fun.

Also- did you have a decorator do your place? Or did you do it all by yourself? I am getting ready for an overhaul over here and love your pad!

PS thanks for the tag will get to it this week!
