week 7

Here we are this week...things continue to zip along on the house across the street. The crew arrives each morning around the same time (6:45) and leaves in the early afternoon. They seem to be very conscientious. I saw them here this past Saturday, putting in a full day's work. Looks like they're trying to stay on schedule.

In other news, the search for the right super hair conditioner continues. The olive oil treatment from the other day may have to be repeated. It seemed to make things soft and manageable, but then I went and put a leave-in conditioner in my hair yesterday that made it feel dry again. Ironic, I know. By the way, am I boring you with all this hair chat? I'll keep quiet for awhile and only check back in on this subject when I find my magic concoction. Wish me luck.

I understand the hair thing. I have thick hair that takes a long time to dry normally but during the summer it looks waaaaayy dried out.

If you can find it, try Pantene's Winter Renewal... I have a TON of issues with my hair and after buying the most expensive items with no results I started trying low budget items and ALAS I've found my savior... HOWEVER, there is only 1 CVS that sells it in the area so you may have a tough time finding it! Good luck though :)

OMG - I can't believe the progress, that house is going up way to fast!

Did you ask Lee about the hair? I did use mayonaise once!

Good luck with that hair of yours.

OK,
I found something really good for your hair. Biosilk Silk Therapy.
You a tiny bit on after you dry and style your hair. My hair is really silky. Get it at the beauty supply or salon. It's 12.50 for a little bottle, but goes a long way. I just blew dried and flat ironed my hair. Then I put some of this stuff on. My hair is shiney and soft.

Have you tried Keratasse...it's a bit pricey, but could do the trick.

It looks like a real house now with the windows.

I use Kirkland (Costco's brand) shampoo and conditioner. Both are inexpensive and they work for me. I think that both the shampoo and the conditioner are similar to a couple of Paul Mitchell products.

I follow up with a dime-sized dollop of Suave (yes, Suave!) Humectant conditioner. It is similar to Nexxus Humectress but much less expensive. Walmart carries it. I rub a dime-sized dollop into my hair after towel-drying and comb it out to the ends (do not rinse.) I do this every day.

This works for my curly, thick hair, even in humidity- no frizzies!

I just wanted to let you know that AVEDA has the best line of shampoos and conditioners and I am certain that you could resolve all of your hair difficulties with something in their product line. I'm not sure where you live, but here in Illinois where I live there is an AVEDA lifestyle store. Many salons sell their products as well.
BTW - LOVE your blog.
