little furry fellow

Seeing a lot of spider webs around your house these days? We sure are. The first picture is one of those 'click to enlarge' instances, but the second picture speaks for itself.

This little - no, BIG! - guy worked like crazy over the last couple of days, because we don't remember seeing a web this big over the weekend and now it is here.

I don't mind that he's set up shop down the side of my awning. As long as it helps to keep the ladybug population from sneaking inside my house, I'm all for it. But if he (or any of his brothers) decides to take his operation inside, I'll have to kindly escort him back out.

We too have had a lot of spiders IN our house. Normally, I don't mind, seeing they are doing me a favor. But, last night a HUGE, HAIRY, spider was strolling through my office. I quickly trapped him under a glass and vaccuumed up the intruder tonight!

I think spider webs are amazing. I think spiders are yucky. But their webs are kinda cool!

I think the fact that it has been so dry might have driven the ones we have into our house.
Well it did rain here in the Chicago area yesterday .

We have lots of spiders too and I have the crawlies now! I don't know what's worse, the spiders or the big grasshoppers that are munching in my flower beds!

Yes! Giant webs and spiders having been popping up all over the outside of our place. I hate it when I walk through the gate and a line of a web goes across my face. Can't always see them, they're so fine! Ugh! Wonder why there are so many right now. I'm thanking my lucky stars though that we're back in WA and not AZ. AZ had all the black widows and that was SCARY! Their webs are sticky, too.

It is so cool when the spider webs are right outside a window so you can look at it and see the amazing details and not have to worry about it getting you!

As much as spiders really creep me out, I so admire the beauty of their webs. There was a HUGE spider on our back porch who gave me chills just looking at him(or her). But he was beautiful in his own creepy way and the web was spectacular. I watched for two days and he disappeared. I wonder where he went?
