already an old pro

Things are going well with Kindergarten. Was it just last Tuesday that I was feeling so glum? What a difference a week makes.

If you are nervous about your son starting school, it really helps if he likes it. It helps if, when you ask him "how was kindergarten?" he shouts "GREAT!!" It helps if he talks about his new schedule all through breakfast & dinner (so much so that you have to remind him to eat.) It helps if, when the weekend comes, he's a little disappointed that the big yellow bus won't be pulling up to the curb. Most of all, it helps if he's smiling all the time, obviously happy and ready to tell the world why. Yes, all these things help. And, added together, they make a decisive conclusion. How could I not be doing well right now? Kindergarten rocks!

I am so happy kindergarden is going so well. My grandsons were the same way, although I must say my daughter was not so easy. It certainly helps Mom when the kids are so happy about school.

I am so glad he's loving school! My daughter was in half day mainstream kindergarten and half day special program for hearing impaired kids- I was just as nervous as you where! It turned out to be a really good year for her.

I'm so glad all is going well in Kindergarten!

My youngest started last year and I remember her coming home the first week saying, "Why do we have to have recess?" She liked school THAT much! So it was a comfort. But I know how you felt because with each one of my three, it didn't get any easier to send them off to school for the first time.

I'm so glad to hear that it's going well and your son is enjoying Kindergarden. Your story (& your son's story) touched me. You're such a strong person.

My daughter is starting next year and I just know I'm going to be a basket case this time next year.
