7 things
Happy Saturday!
Mary tapped me to play "7 things", so here I go...
* * * *
7 things
1. I am ambidextrous. This is because I'm a lefty. It's a right-handed world, people. Lefties must adapt or they will perish. Really! All lefties are ambidextrous.
2. My husband is a lefty, too. Between the two of us we have 4 very efficient and capable hands.
3. I met my husband on a blind date three weeks after I moved to Chicago. That was 12 years ago.
4. One of the people involved in setting us up was his sister, Lisa. She lives out of town now but we keep up through email and also through the blogworld. You may have seen her comments on your blog. She always has something nice to say.
5. Before staying home with my children, I worked in advertising. So I always enjoy reading about what Lisagh is up to at work.
6. I still do quite a bit of work as an independent contractor for my old agency, as well as other agencies and businesses in town. Working on the side like that helps me maintain a nice balance in my life.
7. Today I have tickets to see Sesame Street Live. I've never been. There are two little people in my house who could barely sleep last night and who were up at 5 this morning because they are so excited about it. Maybe we should have waited to tell them until after breakfast?

Play on! I tap Kellie, Heather, and Navybluegirl. Have fun, ladies!

Your "7" were interesting -- I envy your advertising career. That was my original career goal... Have fun at Sesame Street Live -- we've been twice and it was fun.
Thanks for the tag!
Sometimes it IS better to wait until the last minute to give them the heads up about exciting activities. Hope they enjoyed the show!
Sweet Boy woke up (for good!) at 1:00 am today just because he couldn't contain his excitement about a new "Little Einsteins" episode premiering at 8 am.
I'm going to take a nap.
Sounds like you are going to have great fun with the kids today.
You are an interesting person.
Have a great weekend!

My J is a lefty as well - I find that insanely attractive. I always wanted to be a lefty... you all look so cool to me! As a kid I'd practice and practice, but I'm a spaz.
I found it interesting you and your husband are lefties! My husband and I are also both lefties and out of our first 3 children, 2 are lefties. Our rightie thought she was a minority, and she grew up (she's 13 now) using the mouse on the left hand side of the keyboard, and thinks that is normal. :)
But you are right about adapting. Once someone bought me "left-handed" scissors and I couldn't use them, because I figured out early in my life how to twist my hand a certain way to use right-handed scissors, and I cannot cut any other way. And then there's the can opener . . . :)
Thanks for sharing that.
My dad was in advertising in another lifetime... He actually came up with the McDonald's two all beef patties, special sauce... campaign.
Thanks for the tag. I wrote it last night then my computer froze and I lost it all... so frusterating.
Oh how fun, Sesame Street Live! Have fun!
After reading Lisagh's blog, I would like to be in advertising too! Lucky you to still have a hand in it. I hope we get to hear about Sesame Street!
